Our Thanksgiving Excursion

Here I am driving one of the many hours spent in the car to and from Idaho for Thanksgiving dinner at Emily's.
Isn't Andy silly? He was taking pictures while I was driving.
We stopped at a unique rest area in Idaho that had a walking path on top of an ancient lava flow. In some parts the lava rocks caved in making large holes is the ground. It's interesting to see lava in a desert, so we picked up a couple of rocks as souvenirs.

Xango

These last few weeks at work have been a crazy time for us at Struck. We got to design all the graphics for the annual Xango convention which took place at the Salt Palace. About 9000 people came to relish in the Xango goodness. Pictured above: Top: some banners I worked on. Below: is a trade show booth that I designed over the summer. It was pretty cool to see projects I worked on printed so large. I also designed my first billboard for the event but I didn't get a good picture of it.

Practical Plaid

This chair has been the inspiration behind many things in our home, including the name of our blog. The chair has a long and rich history. It has been sat in by many and complimented by some of the most prestigious people in our town. It all began with the invention of Craigs List. As soon as Tamara set her eyes on this plaid beauty she knew it must soon become hers. With some smooth talking and sad little puppy eyes Tamara got her way. This practically plaid chair joined our household in the summer of 2006. We have relished in its comfort ever since.

Halloweenie

I love carving pumpkins, but was pretty disappointed when I started carving into mine and found that it was old and stringy. Oh well, I still carved cute Curious George. (Andy made the pattern in Adobe Illustrator and made his pattern as well.)

Andy and I dressed up from the Seventies. Many people told me I looked like a brunette Charlie's Angel.

Fall foliage

We had a lovely Sunday drive up the mountains when the leaves were changing color.
